Could Diablo 3 actually be released in 2011?  According to a supposed “leaked” document from Blizzard, Diablo 3 has been slated to be released in the 4th quarter of 2011.  I haven’t seen anything yet as to how accurate this document is, but it’s exciting to hear that we could be able to play Diablo 3 as early as this year.

To give you guys some more information on the possible release date, I’ve posted a video that talks about it, as well as some of the newer updates that have been announced in the last few months.  Now, I did not make this video, it was made by the guys at ForceD3strategy (clicking that link will take you to their YouTube channel).  They make all kinds of great Diablo 3 videos – definitely worth checking out.

If you’re having trouble following the labels in the “release” document, here’s a key that may make it easier to follow (nothing is confirmed, it is all speculation)

Release Document KEY:

BNET2 – This is the Battle.net we now use on WoW.
BNET2MapMarket – Self explanatory, referring to purchasing SC2 maps through BNET
BNET2 3rd Parties – Possibly a platform created to compete with Steam. 3rd Parties could refer to integrating BNET with the console version of Diablo 3, or even games such as Call of Duty (which would make sense given the merger with Activision)

Starcraft 2: Released when the document implied it would be
SC2 Pheonix: Like the video says, not sure what this is

Diablo 3: Again, I hope the 2011 Q4 is accurate, however, as this document is a little old, there’s no way to know for sure, and dates commonly get pushed back
Diablo 3 Expansions: It looks like they’re trying to get their expansions 18 months apart, however, I doubt a date so far away could be considered accurate

WoWMobile – Assuming they’re referring to mobile auction house…. it now also looks like they’re releasing additional features
WoW Cataclysm – Released when it said it would be
WoW Brazil – Portuguese translation of the game.
WoW X4 – World of Warcraft’s 4th expansion – This would fit with the 18 months between each expansion.
WoW TCG – The World of Warcraft Trading Card Game
WoW Movie – I’m not getting my hopes up with anything that has to do with this movie… Who knows how many more times it will get pushed by… look for it in the summer of 2042 (not official release date)
WoW X5 – World of Warcraft’s 5th expansion – a year and a half later, makes sense.

Titan – This is what blizzard has been calling their new MMO… not sure if that will be the actual name. It look like it could come out in the end of 2014, but who knows really…
